When Do All-on-4 Implants Work Best?If you are missing some or all of your teeth, you may be considering getting dental implants. A dental implant is basically an artificial tooth that is secured to a metal "root" implanted in the jawbone.

Still, even after you have decided to get dental implants, you may be wondering what kind to get. One type of dental implant is called an "all-on-4" implant. Here is more information about this kind of implant, and when it may be the best choice for you.

Not All Implants Are the Same

A set of all-on-4 implants differs from other types of implants in that it requires fewer actual implants to be placed in the jaw. Most dental implants require between 6 and 8 implants per arch. In contrast, all-on-4 implants require only 4.

This means that all-on-4 implants require less surgery, less expense, and less trauma. So they are a great option of these things are a consideration for you.

What's more, you should not let the fact that they involve fewer actual implants in the jaw to cause you to think they are somehow inferior to other kinds of implants. On the contrary, all-on-4 implants have a success rate of right around 98%. This means that the overwhelming majority of our patients who opt for this type of implant will find that it suits their needs.
